Dr. Hiroshi Hirayama
D.D.S., D.M.D., M.S., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Hiroshi Hirayama is currently Clinical Professor and Director at the Division of Postdoctoral Prosthodontics in the Department Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials, Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
He graduated Kyushu Dental College with D.D.S. degree in 1977.
He is a former Professor, the division head of the Postgraduate Prosthodontics division in Department of Prosthodontics and Operative dentistry. He has served as Director of the Graduate and Postgraduate Prosthodontics program since1994, Director of Advanced Education in Esthetic Dentistry program since 2004 and Director of Advanced Dental Technology and Research program since 2009 at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine until December 2014. Under his supervision over 50 past graduates successfully completed board examinations and became Diplomate of American Board of Prosthodontics under his guidance.
He is the recipient of 2014 American College of Prosthodontists the Educator of the year award and the recipient of 2016 Garber-Staffanous Prosthodontic Program Director's Award for Excellence by American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He received his Master’s degree and a certificate in Prosthodontics from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics. He lectures nationally and internationally and has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals. He also maintains his private practice in Boston MA.
Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos D.D.S., M.S., Ph.D.
Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos is currently an Associate Professor of Postgraduate Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and an adjunct Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health, and he maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Boston MA.
Dr. Papaspyridakos is a specialist Prosthodontist and his clinical expertise covers all aspects of Implant, Esthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry. He received both his Certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics and M.S. degree with honorary distinction from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Subsequently, he received his Certificate of Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also holds a D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and a Ph.D. degree from the National University of Athens School of Dentistry.
Dr. Papaspyridakos has published more than 100 articles and abstracts in international peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters in 10 Implant Dentistry textbooks, while he serves as reviewer for several dental journals. His innovative clinical implant research is widely cited and has received international acclaim with educational awards. He is a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) and he lectures extensively on dental implants and esthetics in national and international dental meetings.
Dr. Cristina Baens
Dr. Cristina Baens aims to make each visit to Dental Esthetics Boston a positive and enjoyable experience for your child.
She focuses on prevention and teaching the importance of oral health care and its connection to total body health. Her philosophy is to provide quality personalized care, understanding that each patient is an individual with unique needs, in a child friendly manner, with compassion and empathy.
She is currently the Dental Director at Boston University Pediatric Dental Treatment Center and Clinical Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She holds a DMD, a MSc and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
Besides pediatric dentistry, Dr. Baens enjoys traveling, spending quality time with friends and family, art appreciation, listening to music, taking nature trips, doing yoga and meditations..
Dr. Jeanne Un
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Jeanne Un moved to Massachusetts to attend Tufts
University as an undergraduate. Following graduation, she obtained a Master of Science in
Occupational Therapy degree and enjoyed working as an intern with pediatric populations. With a desire to provide a greater scope of care, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Un received her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. She is committed to providing excellent comprehensive care and ensuring a great, gentle dental experience. Having previous experience as a healthcare provider, her goal is to provide excellent dental healthcare with compassion. Dr. Un looks forward to working together with every individual to accomplish their dental health goals of having a functional, esthetic, and healthy smile. With a love of learning, she is an active participant in continuing education courses and hopes to use this knowledge to provide high quality dental care. Dr. Un is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. In her spare time, Dr. Un loves to run, swim, spend quiet evenings at home with her family, and has always had a long-standing passion for the game of tennis.
Dr. Anne-Marie Vu
Dr. Anne-Marie Vu is a Massachusetts native who grew up in Worcester, MA. She attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for both her undergraduate and dental school training. During dental school she especially loved teaching in her local community and working patients with special needs. She then completed her pediatric dental residency at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
She now teaching part time as Assistant Professor at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine in addition to private practice. Dr. Vu works hard to make sure that each moment spent with her patients is fun, comfortable, and enjoyable. She loves to make people smile. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, watercolor painting, and learning how to play the piano.
