Porcelain Crowns
Crowns (caps) are used to restore broken or decayed teeth. At Dental Esthetics Boston our specialist Prosthodontists use exclusively Digital Technology for the impression (digital scan), design, fabrication and insertion of porcelain dental crowns. As leaders in the field, they create the most natural restoratives out of high-quality, long-lasting materials.

Porcelain is the most popular choice due to its natural and radiant appearance. Porcelain crowns are highly durable and can last for many years. However, like most dental restorations, they may eventually require repair or replacement. The crown procedure typically involves two appointments. During the first appointment at Dental Esthetics Boston, our dentists will take digital scans of your teeth. These digital scans will be used to create a porcelain crown. In the meantime, a temporary crown will be placed to protect your tooth until the permanent crown is ready, which usually takes about two weeks.
During your second appointment, the temporary crown will be removed, and your tooth will be thoroughly cleaned. Your new crown will then be carefully and precisely secured in place to ensure a comfortable fit.
